The Necessity for Password

To ensure quality of our repair, inspection is a very important section to us and also for our customer especially for diagnosis to pinpoint the issue and to make sure the issue is not repeating. We do understand your data is valuable or might be sensitive to you, but kindly take note that without access to your account, our technicians will not have the access to the function of your device like microphone, camera, battery health, speaker, screen brightness and so on after repair. Hence, we would like to seek for your corporation for smooth process. There are two options which are with submission of password and without password.

1. With password

• Submission of password to us on the basis of trust.

• We practice integrity for our job which assessment or sharing our customer’s information on purpose other than testing and installation is

prohibited.

2. Without password

• You may have to do extra steps to create an administrator account which is separate from your main account.

First of all, click on the apple logo on your top left corner then select system preferences.

Once you’re in, select Users & Groups at bottom left corner.

To make changes, you need to first click on the lock at bottom then key in your account password. Once you’re done, click on the plus sign on top of the lock.

Select the new account as administrator (you may remove this account afterwards), then key in the full name as FixMyMac with password 1234 (recommended setting), then click create user. After that, you may log out from your account and we will have access only to this alternative administrator account.
